Q. Why should an agency join an agency cluster?
A. There are many good reasons to join a cluster. A few of these include increased market access, more consistent and significantly higher contingencies, reduced risk of losing a carrier and home office support for new business. American Advantage will also help agents acquire and place new business.
Q. Does American Advantage share in contingencies?
A. Yes. American Advantage shares contingencies proportionately, which means you get a much bigger amount than if you were on your own.
Q.How do the Associate Agents get paid?
A. The associate member gets paid directly from the carrier. You do not have to wait 30 days to get paid from a master agency, all commissions come directly to you. The agency then pays American Advantage.
Q. How can I increase my revenue by joining a group?
A. Because of increased market access, you will likely be closing more new business, which helps to increase your revenue. You will also benefit from some preferred agency contracts. Additionally, your agency will be sharing in increased contingencies by being part of a group.
